Spectrotel Introduces Suite of INTRALATA Network Services, including Ethernet Private Lines, Transparent LAN Service, and High Capacity Optical Services
NEPTUNE, NJ (February 08, 2012) - Spectrotel, Inc., a New Jersey based competitive local exchange company serving customers throughout the United States, today announced that it has introduced a suite of INTRALATA network services designed to meet customer needs for high quality data transport and the demands for ever increasing bandwidth. The new services offer a range of connectivity options, including Ethernet, SONET, and Wavelengths with speeds from 1 Mbps to 40 Gbps. “We see a growing demand for high bandwidth data services and an increased interest in the convenience of Ethernet-based transport,” said Ross Artale, Chief Operating Officer. “These services meet that need with an extensive depth of coverage and the personalized service, quality support, and flexible billing Spectrotel has become known for.”
Standard Spectrotel services announced today are:
Spectrotel Fiber Ethernet Private Line (Spectrotel Fiber EPL): Point-to-point, fiber-based, private Ethernet transport service with SONET at the core for resiliency and reliability.
- Service speeds: 10 Mbps, 50 Mbps, 100 Mbps, 150 Mbps, 300 Mbps, 450 Mbps, 600Mbps, 1 Gbps
- Channel termination speeds: 50 Mbps, 100 Mbps, 1 Gbps;
Spectrotel Transparent LAN Service (Spectrotel TLS): High-speed data service that provides Ethernet transport within a common Ethernet network over shared fiber facilities to provide interconnection of Local Area Networks (LANs) in multiple locations over one contiguous and safe network.
- Port speeds: 10 Mbps, 100 Mbps, 1 Gbps, 10 Gbps
- EVC speeds: 1 Mbps to 1 Gbps
High bandwidth services now available on an individual case basis include:
Spectrotel Optical Broadband Transport (Spectrotel OBT): High speed, synchronous, optical fiber-based, full-duplex, data transmission service provided over SONET.
- Point-to-point non-channelized and channelized
- Multiplexed service
- Service speeds: 155 Mbps (OC3), 622 Mbps (OC12), 2.5 Gbps (OC48), 10 Gbps (OC192)
Spectrotel Optical Wavelength Service (Spectrotel OWS): High bandwidth, optical fiber-based, point-to-point circuits across a managed wavelength network.
- Point-to-point non-channelized or channelized
- Service speeds: 2.5 Gbps (OC48), 10 Gbps (OC192), 40 Gbps (OC768)
All of these services have fiber-based transport. TLS, Fiber EPL, and OBT are also provided over a resilient SONET core transport network for reliability and performance. Services are available INTRALATA within DC, DE, MA, MD, NJ, NY, PA, RI, and VA, within select metro markets in CA, FL, and TX, and within the NY – NJ and PA – NJ telecommunications corridors.
